HR Specialist II (3470-015)

Responsible for the implementation of Company policies and procedures within a functional area of expertise. Tasks involve the application of specialized functional knowledge in routine and non-routine situations under supervision of management. Decisions have significant impact on analyzing and implementing Company policy.

Reports to the Division Human Resources Manager.
Actively participate with Environmental & Health and Safety Leader to achieve goals and standards ensuring a safe work environment.
Champions employee engagement and communication initiatives including but not limited to workplace surveys, employee focus teams, team meetings and hourly and salaried communication strategies.
Identify and administer awards and recognition programs for all employees including service, attendance, community support and achievement.
Plant lead for recruitment and selection of all employees. Utilizes Lear systems including SmartTrack and People Soft to obtain required approvals, reviews and distribute candidates and assists with interview and selection as required.
Manages administration of benefits and pension for all employees.
Works with the Division HR Manager in the administration and development of the Salaried workforce including; administrative changes (People Soft), Talking Points, Scorecards, manuals and handbooks, policy, education and development and talent and leadership reviews.
Acts as Company investigator for harassment or compliance complaints.
Administer workforce including; policies and procedures, attendance management, vacation scheduling and discipline management systems.
Tracks number and status of hourly employee's, prepares appropriate reports for weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting. Works closely with Production Manager to ensure sufficient headcount is maintained to support operations.
Oversees hourly training matrix and monitors training effectiveness to meet IATF standards.
Oversees employee onboarding and new hire orientation.
Required Skills
Requires 2+ years experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Requires general supervision. Limited or no supervisory responsibilities.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
