?Uses blueprints, sketches, drawings, and/or job instruction sheets
to produce dimensions and tolerances of finished work\-piece and setup requirements\.
?Cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, machining centers, drill presses, and drill machines\.
?Enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media\.
?Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out\-of\-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required\.
?Verifies conformance of finished parts to specifications\.
?Reworks parts that don't meet specifications\.
?Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data\.
?Confers with supervisor, engineers, and production personnel to resolve machining problems\.
?Achieves departmental productivity levels\.
?Follows all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipment and performing hoist inspections\.
?Keeps supervisor informed of mechanical/machine malfunctions or any supplies/tools needed\.
?Routes completed parts to next machine according to the routing sequence\.
?Performs data entry on the computer to update part locations\.
?Updates work order cover sheets, daily production sheets, and status sheets\.
?Maintains MDI board\.
?Follow MRB process\.\.
?Performs TPM
?Participates in departmental projects, as needed \(ex\. Lean initiatives, restructuring the cell layout, continuous improvement\)\.
?And other assigned duties
?Maintains department in a clean and orderly manner\.
?Suggests ideas for overall improvements to the area processes
?Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, gages, memos, and procedure manuals\.
?Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one\-on\-one and small group situations to supervisor, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization\.
?Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's\.
?Ability to perform these operations using all units of measure\.
?Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions and percentages\.
?Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations\.
?Ability to understanding and carry out detailed written or oral instructions\.
?Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
Working Conditions and Physical Factors:
?Required to stand and sit, to walk parts to stock or to next machine in routing sequence, and to reach with hands and arms\.
?Must regularly lift and/or move up to a max of 35 Ibs\.
?Required to lift bar stock that varies in weight above 25 pounds\.
?Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Exposure to oils/coolants and flying debris
?Exposed to moving mechanical parts, machining oils/coolants from handling coated parts, coolant/oil mists which are below OSHA's permissible levels of exposure, and vibration from hammering of parts and using hand tools\.
?Noise level is may be loud due to the different machinery being operated \(i\.e\. forklifts, hand tools, machines\) and the testing that occurs\.
?Normal noise exposure in the area ranges from 78\-86 dBA; hearing protection is required in some areas
Degree Required:
?High school diploma or GED
?Apprenticeship or Journeyman Cert preferred
?1 year machining experience preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
